change

…I don’t know exactly when I changed, or how, but I know at some point, between cutting my strings, escaping my cage, and building my wings, I set myself free. ~Unknown

She wanted everything, but settled for nothing

“She was too quiet, or she was too loud. She took things too seriously, or not seriously at all. She was too sensitive, or too cold-hearted. She hated with every fiber of her being, or loved with every piece of her heart. There was no in-between for her. It was either all or nothing. She wanted everything but settled for nothing.”

enchantment

Memories whisper-drift
Where
Unrealized dreams
Wait on the edge, and time
Sways anchored inside
The space where nothing matters;
Hearts share a moon glistened destiny,
An intertwined beauty
Holding on tightly, hands clasped in prayer,
Night whispers the beating heart, nestled safely
On horizon’s cusp
As rain softly whispers kisses down upon the echoes
Staining each sacred ache,
Petals of silk
Open arms
And
Heart-prints collide upon tender;
Shadows of happiness,
Rainbow,
Softest reflections beneath a breath…

I sold my soul to a traveling caravan
And there my heart did play.

Sitting in a harp
Waiting for a trap
To make love fall its way.

Love is a word
Which sparks these hurts
From this fallen day.

I wish
I had something
To make love fall this way

Love is sticky, for we all know it true
Some days you just have to sit back,
And wait for love to find you.

My Runaway Heart (Fell In Love With You)

Foolish,
wild heart slippery creature.
Of course I know better than to let my foolish little heart near you
But I’ve never been a good master
Letting it ride out on my sleeve
And now it’s run away.
To be fair, you did leave your door cracked.
And in this cold world,
Who can blame my heart for seeking the warmth of your hearth?
So it stays.
Perhaps you know it is there
And so you keep the fire stoked
That is what I like to think when I worry and wonder:
How I could have been so careless to let it get away?
For you are not like me
You keep your heart safe
Fiercely guarded.
I like to think that one brave day
When I tell you about my stowaway heart
You will say I know,
It has been keeping my own lonely heart company.
A soothing thought.
But if instead you put it back out into the dark night,
I won’t blame you
You can’t be expected to keep watch of a wild little heart not your own.
Maybe I will learn to be more careful with my heart the next time ’round.

Beyond Words

I want you
Beyond the words on this page,
I want the touch of your lips
against my skin…
I want the rush of your fingertips
under me….
I want to taste the union of us
in the passion of stars….
And to dance the wonder of
sweet clean sheets
Soft pillows…..
The whisper of your breath
The rhythm of your heart..
I want to hear the song you
moan as we embrace..
I will whisper your name
In the moments we share
Beyond the words on this page…..

Fine honeyed lips

Bitter your acts, bitter am I,
Kindness your deeds, kindness am I,
Pleasant and gentle, so you are,
Fine honeyed lips and sweet talker.

A Boat Beneath a Sunny Sky

A boat beneath a sunny sky,

Lingering onward dreamily
In an evening of July —
Children three that nestle near,
Eager eye and willing ear,
Pleased a simple tale to hear —
Long has paled that sunny sky:
Echoes fade and memories die:
Autumn frosts have slain July.
Still she haunts me, phantomwise,
Alice moving under skies
Never seen by waking eyes.
Children yet, the tale to hear,
Eager eye and willing ear,
Lovingly shall nestle near.
In a Wonderland they lie,
Dreaming as the days go by,
Dreaming as the summers die:
Ever drifting down the stream —
Lingering in the golden gleam —
Life, what is it but a dream?

An even keel Vessel goes run aground in the Ocean of Life!

My dear Son,

It’s nice to hear
That you’re a Skipper of a small craft!
Your poor old Grandma & Grandpa proud of that.
Be careful Sonny!
Ocean is vast & mysterious
And bottomless. Read more

Dusk Till Dawn

Let the sunset’s beams flutter

Below the darkening horizon

Like a raven taking flight into

Enveloping blackness.

The closing of the world’s eyes

Brings the temporary death

Which men neither see nor fear.

Dreams fill the minds of many

While the Sun rests his weary gaze

And relinquishes his hold on mankind

Giving birth to the new rule of her highness

The Moon.

Her return to the throne brings her loyal stars,

Dancing across the sky that is ballroom floor

Where they sway to the tune of the wind through the silent space.

However, sorrowful though she may be,

The Queen’s time in power draws short,

Her subjects dwindle

Sending short winks to and fro

Before finally coming to an end.

And slowly, softly,

The rays of His Majesty emerge,

His warm fingers barely brushing

Her gentle locks of luscious hair

Before they quietly slip

Away.

As Loving You

I forgive you

Not for you

But for me

235242780506472891_LIdW6OOI_c

For I fear

That if I don’t

Forgive

And if I

Don’t forget

I will never

Be able

To let go of

What was once us

And release myself

Of the pain

Which I have

Come to know

As loving you

I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings

and floats downstream
till the current ends
and dips his wings
in the orange sun rays
and dares to claim the sky. Read more

I'm a dreamer
Dreamer

Yes:

I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.

Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf

RED

As soon as Wolf began to feel

That he would like a decent meal,
He went and knocked on Grandma’s door.
When Grandma opened it, she saw
The sharp white teeth, the horrid grin,
And Wolfie said, ‘May I come in?’ Read more

When I Have Fears that I May Cease to Be

  by John Keats

When I have fears that I may cease to be Before my pen has glean’d my teeming brain, Before high piled books, in charact’ry, Hold like rich garners the full-ripen’d grain; When I behold, upon the night’s starr’d face, Huge cloudy symbols of a high romance, And think that I may never live to trace Their shadows, with the magic hand of chance; And when I feel, fair creature of an hour! That I shall never look upon thee more, Never have relish in the faery power Of unreflecting love!—then on the shore Of the wide world I stand alone, and think Till Love and Fame to nothingness do sink.

Wanderlust Ails Me (Seeking the Cure)

How do we get to this state,

one of seeming brokenness,
crying out from a loneliness,
we can all relate.

And if such passions
could transform
human nature,
we would be the cure.

But a disease takes hold,
spreading like wildfire,
reflective of the condition
of humanity, forever in
bondage to dissatisfaction.

Why so?
I truly wish to know.

And if one so special
could touch my heart,
could shake the foundations
of my restless soul,
I would truly be blessed,
knowing I found the cure
for what ails me,
this wanderlust,
the desire to quench
my burning desire for you,
the special-one.

Impressions of a Pilot

Flight is freedom in its purest form,

To dance with the clouds which follow a storm;

To roll and glide, to wheel and spin,
To feel the joy that swells within;

To leave the earth with its troubles and fly,
And know the warmth of a clear spring sky;

Then back to earth at the end of a day,
Released from the tensions which melted away.

Should my end come while I am in flight,
Whether brightest day or darkest night;

Spare me your pity and shrug off the pain,
Secure in the knowledge that I’d do it again;

For each of us is created to die,
And within me I know,
I was born to fly.

— Gary Claud Stokor

Sky in my Pie

Waiter!

there’s a sky in my pie,
Remove at once if you please,
You can keep your incredible sunsets
I ordered mincemeat and cheese.
I can’t stand nightingales singing
Or clouds all burnished with gold,
The whispering breeze is disturbing the peas
And making my chips go all cold.
I don’t care if the chef is an artist
Whose canvases hang in the Tate,
I want two veg and puff pastry
Not the universe heaped on my plate.
Ok ill try just a spoonful
I suppose I’ve got nothing to lose.
Mmm the colours quite tickle the palate
With a blend of delicate hues.
The sun has a custardy flavour
And the clouds are as light as air,
The wind with a chewier texture,
With a hint of cinnamon there?
This sky is simply delicious
Why have I not tried it before?
I can chew my way through to eternity
And still have room left for more.
Having acquired a taste for the cosmos
I shall polish this sunset off soon,
I can’t wait to tuck into the night sky,
Waiter please bring me the moon.

Follow You Follow Me

Just the 2 of Us

Stay with me,

My love I hope you’ll always be
Right here by my side if ever I need you
Oh my love

In your arms,
I feel so safe and so secure
Everyday is such a perfect day to spend
Alone with you

I will follow you will you follow me
All the days and nights that we know will be
I will stay with you will you stay with me
Just one single tear in each passing year

With the dark,
Oh I see so very clearly now
All my fears are drifting by me so slowly now
Fading away

I can say
The night is long but you are here
Close at hand, oh I’m better for the smile you give
And while I live

I will follow you will you follow me
All the days and nights that we know will be
I will stay with you will you stay with me
Just one single tear in each passing year there will be

I will follow you will you follow me
All the days and nights that we know will be
I will stay with you will you stay with me
Just one single tear in each passing year…

Lyrics: Genesis

Same Stars

We gaze

up at the same stars,
the sky covers us all,
the same universe encompasses us.
What does it matter what practical system
we adopt in our search for the truth?
Not by one avenue alone
can we arrive at
so tremendous a secret.

Text by Symmachus, a Greek writer from 384 C.E.
