Love consumes me

I am a wild lover.
Love consumes me.
I let go, my soul boils inside me.
My kisses will stain your skin, my eyes will burn your heart.
I will break you and I will fix you. I am addictive.
I am yours.

“I am not the first person you loved.
You are not the first person I looked at
with a mouthful of forevers. We
have both known loss like the sharp edges
of a knife. We have both lived with lips
more scar tissue than skin. Our love came
unannounced in the middle of the night.
Our love came when we’d given up
on asking love to come. I think
that has to be part
of its miracle.
This is how we heal.
I will kiss you like forgiveness. You
will hold me like I’m hope. Read more

Echoes and Dust

I so miss the smell of your hair, the way we just fit together, the way your skin felt like silk… life is a funny turned thing… you have a great deal of things you  love one day and the next you have nothing but echoes and dust

Love is a Great Thing, A Great and Thorough Good.

“Love is a great thing, yea, a great and thorough good.
By itself it makes that which is heavy light;
and it bears evenly all that is uneven.
It carries a burden which is no burden;
it will not be kept back by anything low and mean;
It desires to be free from all wordly affections,
and not to be entangled by any outward prosperity,
or by any adversity subdued.
Love feels no burden, thinks nothing of trouble,
attempts what is above its strength,
pleads no excuse of impossibility.
It is therefore able to undertake all things,
and it completes many things and warrants them to take effect,
where he who does not love would faint and lie down.
Though weary, it is not tired;
though pressed it is not straightened;
though alarmed, it is not confounded;
but as a living flame it forces itself upwards and securely passes through all.
Love is active and sincere, courageous, patient, faithful, prudent, and manly.”
Thomas à Kempis

quite simply, everything

I’ve not yet seen every city from a rooftop
or swam in dark seas
under many full moons.
I’ve not danced in all the streets,
I’ve hungered for
lost in crowds covered in bright fabrics
below southern suns
warming us with joy,
painting us all gold.
But I live in a body harboring an imagination
that stretches across time
and I know ecstasy exists
through imperfect flesh
and the softening within a stretch
or watching a mouth I crave
pronounce every vowel
in my name.
You see,
a girl doesn’t ignore
or forget a thing
like that.
Because I now realize
that to the primal skin
and most overflowing minds,
that the subtle things
and quiet things
are quite simply..

you are tired, (i think)

“You are tired,

(I think)

Of the always puzzle of living and doing;

And so am I.

Come with me, then,

And we’ll leave it far and far away—

(Only you and I, understand!)

You have played,

(I think)

And broke the toys you were fondest of,

And are a little tired now;

Tired of things that break, and—

Just tried.

So am I.

But I come with a dream in my eyes tonight,

And knock with a rose at the hopeless gate

of your heart.”

secret garden

She’ll let you in her house
If you come knockin’ late at night
She’ll let you in her mouth
If the words you say are right
If you pay the price
She’ll let you deep inside
But there’s a secret garden she hides
She’ll let you in her car
To go drivin’ ’round
She’ll let you into the parts of herself
That’ll bring you down
She’ll let you in her heart
If you got a hammer and a vise
But into her secret garden, don’t think twice

You’ve gone a million miles
How far’d you get
To that place where you can’t remember
And you can’t forget

She’ll lead you down a path
There’ll be tenderness in the air
She’ll let you come just far enough
So you know she’s really there
Then she’ll look at you and smile
And her eyes will say
She’s got a secret garden
Where everything you want
Where everything you need
Will always stay
A million miles away

She wanted everything, but settled for nothing

“She was too quiet, or she was too loud. She took things too seriously, or not seriously at all. She was too sensitive, or too cold-hearted. She hated with every fiber of her being, or loved with every piece of her heart. There was no in-between for her. It was either all or nothing. She wanted everything but settled for nothing.”

Midnight Moon

by Sunny

Sapphire diamonds
cascade across the sky
blue sensual passion
floats with care and
romantic emotion

for this moon goddess
rests upon high
showering your soul
with penetrating
sensations that one man
can only experience in his
most relaxed state of mind

feeling my hands of pure silk
gliding gently across your skin
soothing the aches of the world
which rest heavily on your heart

sprinkles of moon dust enter
your senses as you breathe
my heart into your restless
state of begging sleep

lover I am your midnight passion
your intoxicating remedy
drink my whispers of sweet
for rest is needed when lovers
ignite as one.

Words cease to exist

The eyes are one of the

most powerful tools a

woman can have.

With one look, she

can relay the most

intimate message.

After the connection

is made, words

cease to exist.

walked into love

“I didn’t fall in love with you. I walked into love with you, with my eyes wide open, choosing to take every step along the way. I do believe in fate and destiny, but I also believe we are only fated to do the things that we’d choose anyway. And I’d choose you; in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I’d find you and I’d choose you”
